Our Commitments
Eliminating PFCs for a cleaner future
Taroni S.p.A. takes a firm stand against harmful chemicals, phasing out PFCs to protect health, the environment, and future generations.
Perfluorinated and polyfluorinated chemical compounds (PFCs) are man-made substances widely used by industry for their non-stick and water-repellent properties.
In the textile industry they are used to make water-repellent and stain-resistant textile and leather products. Tests show that many PFCs are difficult to dispose of because they persist in the environment and they can accumulate in tissues. Moreover, they can worsen pollution levels contaminating the food chain. In line with the already undertaken Detox Campaign, Taroni S.p.A. has chosen not to use PFC in most of its production processes and final products.
