The industrial culture of Taroni S.p.A. is centered on the refinement and innovation of industrial processes to satisfy the clients’ and customers’ requests of quality and creativity. The challenge we are facing is the integration of sustainability values in the vision of Taroni S.p.A. and in the production processes. The elimination of all hazardous chemicals, without limiting the clients’ creativity or compromising on quality, is a difficult challenge that can only be faced by innovative companies which also adopt the best available technologies.
Taroni S.p.A. is at the forefront in the search of solutions that reduce the environmental impact to offer its clients and customers the best environmental, social and transparency standards. For this reason we decided to commit to the elimination of all hazardous chemicals, following the most rigorous current standards, those defined by Greenpeace’s Detox Campaign.
On March 15, 2016 Taroni S.p.A. publicly committed to the Detox Campaign and the moral responsibility towards clients and customers to comply with it. At the end of the Greenpeace Detox Campaign, Taroni S.p.A. decided to continue its commitment by adopting the 4Sustainability Chemical Management protocol for the implementation of MRSL ZDHC.
The Green Carpet Fashion Awards
September 24, 2017 - Piazza della Scala
On Sunday, September 24, 2017, at “The Green Carpet Fashion Awards”, in Piazza della Scala.
“Italy put a spotlight on the people behind the scenes in the fashion industry, celebrating the talent of artisan mills and Italian innovation. Chopard has been working for many years on supporting and protecting the people in their supply chains – which made them a perfect partner to produce the awards (from Fairmined gold of course!)”
Livia Firth, Founder and Creative Director, Eco-Age.
These awards are closely aligned with the values at Chopard, especially with the Journey to Sustainable Luxury and the celebration of the artisans involved in all levels of our supply chains. It was only right that the statuette should reflect the values. During this event Taroni S.p.A. received the “Sustainable Producer” award, for the eco-sustainability criteria with which his fabrics are made, by the famous model Amber Valletta.
Taroni is the first and only textile manufacturer to have received this award for the first Oscar of Fashion.
